Williamsburg Community School District BOND 2025
LEARNING FOR LIFE
VOTE: November 4, 2025

Hello, Williamsburg Raiders and thank you for taking some time to learn more about an upcoming bond issue the district will be proposing on the ballot in November. On this website, you'll learn about the projects, how those projects were identified, and how the district proposes to pay for them. Our goal is to help you make an informed decision on November 4th!

The bond will request permission from residents to borrow up to $7.945 million, primarily focused on expanding Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming. Proposed improvements include reconfiguring existing classroom and shop areas and adding shop, laboratory, and classroom space.
Why is this investment important to our students, school district, and community?
-
It's an Investment in our aging CTE facilities: Our current CTE spaces have not seen significant improvements in many years. This bond would allow us to repurpose and update existing areas and construct new spaces to better serve student programs. The plan includes expanding the agriculture program, relocating Family and Consumer Science (FCS), and developing newly designed industrial tech facilities that provide the space for students to do the kinds of work that align with today’s workforce needs.
-
The projects will strengthen partnerships with our local workforce: The proposed improvements will create hands-on, real-world learning environments that prepare students for career-ready pathways—supporting both individual success and the long-term strength of our local workforce.
-
We are continuing the Long-Range Facilities Plan in a fiscally responsible way: This bond represents the next step in our District’s Long-Range Facilities Plan. By addressing needs in manageable phases, the district continues to make strategic, cost-conscious investments in its facilities—ensuring safe, updated, and effective learning environments while being mindful of the impact on taxpayers.
Words You’ll Hear – And What They Mean. In education, we use some "jargon" that isn't always familiar. As we share information about the projects, you'll hear us use terms like the following:

All CTE programs include co-curricular experiences that allow students to apply classroom skills through real-world, authentic experiences, and incorporate critical skills like leadership, communication, accountability for oneself and to a team.
-
Industrial Tech: Education focused on introduction to and preparation for work in skilled trades like construction, manufacturing, and engineering technologies.
-
FCS (Family and Consumer Sciences): Education focused on nutrition, child development, personal finance, hospitality, textiles and clothing, and family and community relationships, and leadership.
-
Ag (Agricultural Education): Instruction in agriculture, plant and animal science, food systems, mechanics, and natural resources like soil and water.
